Z-Axis Subassembly
The objective of this project was to design a desktop 3-D printer (FDM).
My role:
- Design and assemble the build plate, and Z-axis mechanism using SolidWorks
- Simulate the printing process via motion analysis of stepper motors
- Oversee final assembly of subassemblies to ensure functionality of Z-axis with the X-Y gantry.
